Psalms 27:14 – Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Waiting causes a lot of stress, anxiety, fear, and loss of hope
- Human beings want to make it happen
- God doesn’t work as fast as we want Him to (at times)
- God’s timing is important
- If we move ahead of the Lord
- Situations may not work out as expected
- Waiting is the most challenging part
- The Lord meets us where ever we are
- As we learn to wait on Him and His timing
- While waiting on the Lord develop your relationship with Him
- Pray as much as you can and stay in the Word
- Jesus encouraged us to build a prayer life in Matthew 6:6
WAITING FOR YOUR PERFECT MATE
Proverbs 18:22 – [Whoso] findeth a wife findeth a good [thing] and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
Genesis 2:18 – And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him
Genesis 2:18 – And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him
- Marriage is God’s perfect will (a commitment)
- And God wants to bring the right mate
- Don’t try and rush God
- God may see preparation needed
- For you and your future mate
- It is in God’s timing
- Not waiting of God may cause you to lose patience
- And chose the wrong one
- Wait on the Lord
WAITING TO BE RELEASED IN YOUR TRUE CALLING IN THE LORD
All believers are called to be ministers (in the harvest field)
Mark 16:15-16 Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel
Isaiah 6:8: Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Romans 1:1: Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God
- Let the Lord direct your call as a minister
- It is one step at a time
- There is a preparation for the ministry
- God has to grow us in the Spirit
- God knows how to train ministers
- It can take years, NOT MONTHS
- King David was anointed king at 16 but became king at age 30
- Some want to do the big thing right away
- Wait on the Lord
- Develop patience by staying in the Word
- And continual development of your prayer and study life
