The Weapon of Prayer in Christianity
We must always remember as Christians that the Lord has not left of abandoned us. The Bible shows that “His eyes behold and his eyelids try the children of men”. Prayer is important to God in the dealing with people so we should contend to make prayer and important tool in our everyday lives.
Isaiah 58:9: Then shalt thou all, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am Then shalt shou delight thyself in the Lord and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
When a Christian neglects their prayer lives, failure in all areas of life can be experienced. The Christian that does not pray is essentially robbing himself of the potential help that the Lord may be able to render in a certain situation that they may be going through. A Christian’s well-being, faith, fruits of the Spirit, victories in conflict and all other things that may arise in life will come to fruition through prayer.
When we have praying saints we will enhance the movement of the Lord in the local church and in His move to evangelize the souls of men that are to come into the kingdom. Prayer in the life of a believer has to be primary and not secondary. This placing prayer as a priority will always have the Lord at the forefront in dealing with your marriage, your family, finances, job, church and all the things that we as people consider important in our lives. We must put the Lord first in prayer in order to see Him move in our lives in the physical realms.
Matthew 6:33:But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you
Matthew 6:19-21 19Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Matthew 6:24:No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Prayer is a divine ordinance made by the Lord. Praying saints are needed to carry out this divine ordinance and to fulfill the plan of salvation of men. There will be great results in the physical if praying saints will commit and submit to the Lord in the spiritual. A clean, submitted and prayerful heart will go a long way in fulfilling the prayer ministry that the Lord has called every born again believer to. If you are reading this article and are a Christian please begin to ask the Lord if you are fulfilling the prayer ministry that He has called you to.
