Sin and God’s character
God detests sin and its effects on humanity because of his righteousness and holiness. He provides a means of atonement through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as an act of kindness and grace.
The gospel makes clear God’s intent and ability to deal with sin and all of its consequences. Scripture employs a variety of imagery to convey the depth of salvation.
