Be Refreshed in the Lord

Be Refreshed in the Lord

Christians sometimes need to be refreshed in the Lord. This fact would specifically apply to those that are constantly fighting in the spirit realm in spiritual warfare. This time of refreshing in the spirit will cause a renewal in spirit for the next battle. Lest the warrior get weary in well doing.

Galatians 6:9:And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Isaiah 44:3-5:For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:4And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses. 5One shall say, I am the LORD’s; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel.

The Lord is the one that has the power to refresh as in the spirit realm as we submit our wills to Him. Without this refreshing a well-meaning Christian may find themselves even groing weary in the things of the Lord.
The Holy Spirit will come and comfort us as we put our hope and trust in Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 1:4: Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

John 16:7: Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

When a Christian is involved in spiritual warfare there is an intense battle going on in the spirit realm. The Bible describes this warfare as wrestling. If we work too hard at wrestling without a break to give God the glory we will surely grow tired, weary and discouraged.

Ephesians 6: 10-12: Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

One method of entering into the refreshment of the Lord would be to seek the Lord in praying the scriptures. This type of prayer is just talking to the Lord in your heavenly relationship with Him. This is not the same as warfare. This type of commune with the Lord is just to talk to Him and pray the scriptures in faith believing that He hears and will answer you.

Romans 4:17(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

As we pray the Word of God we will begin to have a balance in our spiritual warfare ministry and the Lord will be able to refresh us quicker as we become knowledgeable of the full Word of God.

Bible Verse of the Day

But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
