2 Corinthians 5: 5-7: 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight)
• Walking by faith and not by sight
• What is our motivation in this life?
• We look to the eternal unseen
• Not the temporary seen
2 Corinthians 4:18: While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
WE MUST BELIEVE THAT GOD EXISTS
Hebrews 11: 1,6: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Vs.6 But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
• Have more confidence in the eyes of God than our own eyes
• We not only believe that he exists, but we trust in Him
• The beginning point of faith is trusting God’s character
o The endpoint is believing His promises
That He will do what he says
• So, we believe that God will fulfill his promises
o even though we don’t see it yet…
o THIS IS TRUE FAITH

• The Christian Life is a struggle against evil
So, must “we endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ” 2 Tim 2:3
WE WALK IN A BATTLEFIELD OF FAITH -A SPIRITUAL WARFARE
• To endure hardness, we must walk by faith and not by sight
• We must ask the Lord to give us Spirit Eyes and Spirit Ears
• If we are not spiritual,
o we miss what the Lord has for us
o We will get weary quick and lose hope
Jeremiah 5:21: Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:
Matthew 11:15: Jesus said: He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Revelation 3:18: Jesus said: and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see
• Ask the Lord for Eyes to sees His Word and Ears to Hear His Word

Give your heart to Jesus today by saying this prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for dying on the cross for my sin. Please forgive me. Come into my life. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Please, help me to live for you the rest of this life. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen.
