Psalm 3-Put Your Trust in the Lord

Jesus-born

As Christians we must believe and know that the Lord is our present help in time of trouble. Jesus Christ is our present help! Sometimes, we are chastened by the Lord because of our sins and rebellion. This psalm of David shows that God permitted this turmoil in David’s life due to his rebellion of murder and adultery. The Bible shows that David confessed his sins and was forgiven by God but reaped the consequences and bitterness of his sins.

Including:
•Death of the son that was born from his adultery
•The rape of his daughter
•The slaying of his sons Adonijah, Ammon and Absalom

David put his trust strong in the Lord during these times. David knew that God was his shield. Even though David brought a lot of his own troubles, he continuously sought the Lord. David was haunted by the treachery of his son Absalom. Even in the midst of all of David’s troubles he knew that the Lord would lift up his head.

We must take lesson from David to know that in times like these we must lift up our eyes in prayer. In Psalms 3:4, David cried unto the Lord with his voice and was heard from by the Lord of heaven.

In this psalm David not only prayed but expected to receive an answer from the Lord concerning victory. This should be our pattern while living here on this earth. We are constantly going through trials, tribulations, hurts and disappointments. Sometimes, these are from people that are really close to us just like David with his son Absalom. Like David we should put our trust in the Lord and run to Him in prayer. After our praying we are to expect victory and not defeat. David went as far to say that he would not be afraid of the tens of thousands of people that would set themselves against him.

Like David we should not fear our supposed enemies but stand strong to see the glory of God fulfilled. Finally we should not carry grudges against people, but should ask for God’s blessing upon them.

While Jesus was on the cross he stated to forgive his accusers and persecutors “for they know not what they do.” We also see the first martyrs Stephen in the book of Acts, asking for the forgiveness of his persecutors as he was being stoned. Only Jesus can give us this type of love in our hearts as we seek him through prayer.

Put a Guard on Your Deliverance

After receiving deliverance from evil spirits, be diligent and vigilant to protect your deliverance. Remember Jesus is the Deliverer; however, He uses ministers to perform the ministry. The Deliverance Ministry is intense for the deliverance candidate and for the minister. If ministry that is received is not guarded it will soon be lost. The really dangerous part is that the person receiving will be seven times worse than before.

Matthew 12:43-45: When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

These particular scriptures show that a demon will attempt to come back “seven times” worse than before. The deliverance candidate should not become demon conscious but should trust the Lord their God.

Most Christians and just people in general view the deliverance ministry as bizarre and weird. But Jesus said in the Word of God once a person receives deliverance the spirits will go then come back to look and see if the person is truly filled with the Word of God and the things of God.

Holiness should be sought by the Deliverance Candidate

After deliverance the believer must be on guard concerning their sin life. We can only maintain a holy life as we put our trust in the Lord and seek His ways.Disobedience to God can bring sin into a Christian’s life. Keep in mind, “sin brings bondage”. In Galatians 5:1 the Bible says to hold onto the freedom that we have received in Jesus Christ. When we seek holiness as Christians instead of worldliness we will be sure to keep the doors closed to the demons that will try to come and tempt us back into our old ways.

In addition, any believer that is born again and receives deliverance should aspire to seek the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Remember, demons cannot just freely enter into a Christian, especially if there is resistance from the Christians.

Stay close to Jesus. Read His Word and seek to develop a prayer life. These are ingredients that will ensure that you will not have to fear demons returning to your life.

The Salt of the Earth

Christians are the Salt and Light of the Earth

Matthew 5:13: Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

While Jesus was on earth, He encouraged those that followed Him by saying “Ye are the salt of the earth”. In real life, one the most important minerals that a human being relies upon is salt. Yes, salt is a valuable to human beings, especially concerning health benefits.

This mandate that Jesus gave to believers should not be looked upon as an option. When people of the world look at a Christian there should be a desire kindled to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Salt creates thirst, and this thirst in an unbeliever’s life should be for the Living Water of the Word of God. Jesus said we are also the Light of the World and that a city set upon a hill cannot be hid. We are to be an example of Godly living to the unbeliever.

Matthew 5:14: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Daily we should seek to “see if we be of God”. Christians grow cold on the Lord on a daily basis. We must keep our relationship with the Lord on fire so that we do not compromise the Word of God. Jesus wants every person that is in sin to be able to come to Him and repent for their sins and be made whole. We as Christians are the conduit for the Lord in fulfilling the “Great Commission.”

Great Commission:

Matthew 28:18-20: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Christians are to be evangelistic and take every opportunity to be the light of the world and lead someone to Jesus Christ.

Jesus gaining lost souls is the central message of the Gospel and we must have this message in the center of our hearts.

1 John 4:7: Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

Jesus Christ became Our Perfect Sacrifice

The book of Isaiah shows us that the iniquities of man separated him from God.

Isaiah 59:2: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Mankind has been separated from God due to the sins of Adam, according to the Word of God in the book of Genesis. We can see that God look for Adam in the garden to fellowship as He did in days past and Adam was hiding from the Lord.

Genesis 3:8: And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.

The displeasure and curse of God was upon Adam and all following generations because of this great sin. Man became “children of wrath” and is sentenced to eternal punishment. God had to intervene or else mankind would be lost forever. Man could never redeem himself from this great gap.

God in His great Love did for mankind what was not possible for man to do for himself. Man needed a way to reconnect with the throne of God and have fellowship. Currently, the only way that any person can have fellowship with God is through forgiveness of the sin of Adam and through blood being shed according to the Old Testament and New Testament of the Bible.

Leviticus 17:11: For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Hebrews 9:22: And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Without a sacrifice mankind would not have been able to come to the throne of God and experience the Grace of God. This sacrifice was the offering of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. This sacrifice meant that the wrath of God against the sin of man was satisfied, man gives himself to God wholly, God is again joined in fellowship with man and is at peace with him.

In the language of the Bible we are talking about Salvation. Salvation is based on faith that is not based on anything else but Jesus Christ. After our initial profession of Christ and repentance from sin, we as Christians must be mindful to confess other sins that are committed along the way. Dedication and faithfulness to the Spirit of God is a must. Be thankful for the Lord did for you on Calvary and thank him as you earnestly seek Him on a daily basis.

Jesus became our Perfect Sacrifice

Attacked by Sexual Demons

by Pastor Dennis

Attacked by Sexual Demons

There are many Christians being attacked by sexual demons and are experiencing sex in their dreams. Some of these dreams are received and other times the dreams are unwanted. Christians of all walks to include married or single, Pastors, Evangelists, and many leaders in the Body of Christ are having these types of sexual dreams. These are demonic dreams and should be rejected. The Bible shows that Satan is the master deceiver and will come to destroy you. Some of these demons have been called Incubus, Succubus, Spiritual Husbands and Spiritual Wives. The names of these demons are not as important as their demonic mission. They will come to a person to deceive them and wreck their lives.

There are many wives and husbands alike that have stopped having sex with their spouse because “they just don’t feel the spark anymore”. This can be due to actual physical adultery or possibly from sex with demons. If you are having a dream and you see the face of your spouse, do not be deceived to think that this is your actual spouse. This is the face of a demonic impersonator. Most Christians believe that demons are just a figment of someone’s imagination or just part of folklore, fairy tales or horror movies. This is not true! Demons are real and when you are having sex in your dreams you are in spiritual danger and need deliverance. The only solution to this problem is deliverance from the demons followed by continued Spiritual Warfare.

Some Christians have had an issue with sexual demon attacks since their childhood and have never gotten rid of these tormenting spirits. Sometimes spirits that cause these types of sexual dreams will enter when a person is raped or molested as a child. Demons do not have any compassion for human life and do not care about how tender a child is. Their aim is to destroy, kill and steal.

If you are a Christian and are experiencing sexual demonic attacks with these types of dreams you need deliverance from evil spirits. If you are afraid to go to sleep because of the power that these demons seem to have in your life, you are in need of deliverance from demons. Do not dismiss these types of dreams as “just a dream” or receive these dreams as giving you some type of pleasure. You must be totally honest with yourself in order to get free. You must completely renounce and repent of any pleasure or need for this type of sex with demons. Sometimes a person will not receive freedom or be able to keep the freedom from demons because they like the pleasure that they receive from these demonic sexual encounters.

Begin to seek the Lord for forgiveness in this area. Say to the God: “Father I ask you to forgive me for all my sins and especially for receiving pleasure from sexual demons. I am asking for your help now Lord and need you desperately to get over this. I renounce all pleasure from sexual demons and repent of this pleasure in Jesus name. Lord I am also seeking deliverance from these demons of lusts and perverted pleasures. Jesus you are my deliverer and in Jesus name I am seeking full deliverance from being attacked by sexual demons..”

Demons can be defeated by Christians

Jesus showed in the Word of God that He had all power and authority of the demons of Hell. Jesus was not afraid of any demons and we should not either. Christians that are born again have the same authority and power that Jesus Christ had in the Bible.

Luke 4:18:The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised

Matthew 12:28: Jesus said But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

When Jesus was baptized in water, the Holy Spirit descended upon Him which was the start of His earthly ministry. Jesus was the God-Man. Jesus spoke the Word of God to defeat Satan right from the onset of His ministry. Throughout the ministry of Jesus on earth He spoke and the demons would flee. Jesus also gave his disciples this same power in Matt 10:1. Christians that have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord in their lives have the same delegated power to speak the Word of God and use the name of Jesus to make the demons accountable to the Word of God.

A Christian that is first born-again must be taught how to use the Word of God as a weapon against Satan. As the new Christians is taught and then studies the Word of God for themselves, they will begin to move in the supernatural Power of the Holy Spirit. Satan has the power over Christians that is given to him by Christians and no more.

2 Timothy 1:7:For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

The proper way to fight the devil is only through the Word of God. There are no amount of books that we will/can read that will cause us to be successful in defeating the enemy. We must not concentrate on how powerful the devil us but always concentrate on the power of God. There is no amount of fleshy anger that can defeat the devil or how loud that we talk to him. Only knowing the power of the name of Jesus and His Word will cause the enemy’s defeat. Jesus died on the Cross of Calvary so now the devil is defeated forever. This truth only benefits the Born-Again Believer and not the person that has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. We must stop speaking how much the devil is defeating us and start using the Word against him to defeat his power in our lives and the lives of our family members.

Ephesians 1:20-23 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. Demons Can be Defeated by Christians.

Fornication is Sexual Sin

by Pastor Dennis

Fornication is Sexual Sin

First of all fornication can be considered as sex outside of marriage between two people that are not married. If one or both of the people that are participating are married then the term adultery may be used. The bottom line is that adultery and fornication are both against the Word of God and the results from this unholy union will be disastrous.

God intended sexual unions to occur between married couples. This is mainly due to the strong union that occurs when the “two become one”. In today’s society the holy act of marriage has been so watered down that people have started to lose the respect and reverence that marriage represents. When two people come together in a sexual union outside of marriage something happens that the eye does not see. Yes, there is pleasure that satisfies the flesh as the sexual union occurs; however, what we do not see is what is harmful to an unmarried couple. The sexual union that happens is not only body to body, but also soul to soul and spirit to spirit. Both parties are affected by this “unholy union”.

For example, a young girl that desires to give her life to the Lord may be hindered in her mind body and spirit concerning her decisions due to having a boyfriend that does not want anything to do with the Lord. These unholy unions have a powerful influence over the mind and body because there is an unholy “soul tie” that forms in the spirit realm when fornication is committed. This soul ties forms stronger as the act of sex is committed. When two people outside of marriage have sex their soul becomes “scattered”. Studies have shown from people that have operated in the ministry of casting out demons is that the spirits that are in the two people have a free reign to travel from one person to the other during this unholy union. The term “transference of spirits” can also be used.

If you know that you have committed either fornication or adultery you must repent today. Fornication and adultery, though they satisfy the flesh for a season, are detrimental to one’s spirit and can wreak havoc in one’s life. Many people have lost everything they have because on one night of pleasure. As the Bible says : Stolen waters are sweet and bread eaten in secret is pleasant (Proverbs 9:17). Yes this may be so true, however, the consequences are not as equally pleasant and sweet. Fornication is Sexual Sin!!

Forgive when you are offended

Forgive when you are offended

If you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, you have been instructed by Jesus in the Word of God to forgive. This is not an option but a requirement. Yes a Christian can be offended just like anyone else and begin to hold bitterness and unforgiveness in their hearts. We must quickly let this go and forgive the offender. The offender could be a Christian or a non-Christian, this does not matter. The person that belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ must forgive.

Matthew 18:21-22: Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, until seven times: but, until seventy times seven.

This scripture shows that forgiveness in unlimited and should always be done quickly or else a mole hill will grow into a mountain. You see, Jesus forgave us, no matter what we have done. Jesus had so much mercy on us that He as God Himself hung on the cross and died to forgive us. In fact the Bible says that if we do not forgive we will be handed over to the tormentors.

Matthew 18:32-35 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not everyone his brother their trespasses.

These scriptures show that the Father will allow the tormenters to come to us if we don’t forgive from the heart. This is serious business and should be considered on a daily basis. We live in a world where everyone is out to get everyone else. As a Christian we cannot get caught up in the ways of the world or we will be delivered over to the tormentors. Forgiveness is something that the Father in heaven requires and is not based on whether we feel like forgiving or not.

Colossians 3:13: Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

The mercy and goodness of God was extended to all that will receive so we as Christians should extend this mercy to others also. Forgive when you are offended.

Overcome the spirit of the world or be overcome

overcome-the-spirit-of-the-world-or-be-overcome

The Bible tells us not to mix the things of the world with Christianity. Just because something is not outwardly bad does not mean that there will not be any harm done to you spiritually.

For example, millions of Christians sit and watch hours and hours of television without any spiritual guards or filters up. In today’s time the television is full of corrupt violence, murder, occult type and sensual/sexual activity. After watching these types of programs over and over, the person watching will eventually lose their sensitivity to the spirit concerning these things. Remember, the Holy Spirit is a gentleman and will not push Himself on anyone. Every believer receives nudges from the Holy Spirit concerning any type of activity that may not be good spiritually. Nonetheless, when these nudges are ignored they will become less noticeable by the believer.

When a Christian tries to have the things of the world and the things of God, there will be an instant warfare inside of them. Christians were given, by the Spirit of God, the power to choose what is right and what is wrong. When we become Christians our mind has to be renewed so that we can see the world from the eyes of the Word of God and not from the eyes of how we were raised (If raised in a non-Christian home). Even when our mind is renewed, Satan is still our adversary and will put the things of this world in front of us.

Another strong force that the enemy is using nowadays is the power of Lust and Perversions. Everywhere you turn nowadays you can see sexual ads, programs, movies and of course the internet is flooded with this type of materials. Many of Christian thought they were “strong” enough in the Lord to flirt with these types of media. As the Bible says to “flee” fornication, a Bible-believing should not entertain partaking in these sin traps. The Bible says that Satan is as a roaring Lion walking about seeking whom he may devour. He does not have to seek the people that do not know about his devices because he already has them under his control. Satan is seeking to destroy, steal and kill Christian because we are the ones that are a threat to his kingdom.

Any Bible-believing Christian must be vigilant and sober concerning the ways of the evil one. Satan has many “custom-made” traps for the any believer. This refers to a plan made just for each individual to make them fall to the spirit of the world. Stay close to Jesus through the medium of prayer and the ministry of the Lord. Ensure that you “put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to withstand the power of the devil”. Our warfare is not only with the powers of the evil one but there is also a spiritual warfare going on inside the believer. Which side will win? The Spirit of God or the spirit of the world?

Overcome the spirit of the world or be overcome.

Seed thoughts-Guard your Mind

The mind is really a terrible thing to waste! People that call themselves Christians should really consider the thoughts that are allowed to dwell in the mind.

What are seed thoughts? A seed in itself is very powerful. You must consider that a seed is just a tiny little object in comparison to the size of what will be produced by the seed. Most of our thoughts are usually brief in nature; however, we must consider what the thought is about. For example, if we think of how someone hurt us last week and continue to let that thought dwell in our minds, we will find ourselves thinking other thoughts that will get out of hand if allowed. The other thoughts that I am referring to are: hurting the person that hurt you, or maybe thinking of something evil to say to the person that hurt you.

The original thought should be pushed out of the mind of the person. We should guard our minds against seed thoughts because of their destructive nature to our lives. When we allow these seed thoughts to take root in our lives we will give bitterness and unforgiveness a perfect bed to sleep in. We are suppose to guard our hearts and minds according to the Word of God.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

These particular scriptures show that there is a constant warfare that goes on for our minds. We must bring “every” thought to the obedience of Christ. Most thoughts start out as “seed thoughts” and grow into something big if we allow them to. The way to push the thoughts out of our minds is to practice monitoring the thoughts that come into our minds and to bind the ones that are identified as “seed thoughts” in the name of Jesus. In order to get proficient at this type of spiritual warfare, we must start off by binding all seed thoughts that come into our minds for one whole week. Remember, you cannot bind God so don’t hesitate to bind all the thoughts until the Lord teaches you what is of God and what is not of God. Also remember that God gave us a mind also so we must know which thoughts are of our own mind. Most people think that every thought that comes into their mind is theirs and this is not true. The Bible says that we can have the mind of Christ and to think on good things.

1 Corinthians 2:16: For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Romans 12:2: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Guard your mind against Negative Seed thoughts
