Seed thoughts-Guard your Mind

The mind is really a terrible thing to waste! People that call themselves Christians should really consider the thoughts that are allowed to dwell in the mind.

What are seed thoughts? A seed in itself is very powerful. You must consider that a seed is just a tiny little object in comparison to the size of what will be produced by the seed. Most of our thoughts are usually brief in nature; however, we must consider what the thought is about. For example, if we think of how someone hurt us last week and continue to let that thought dwell in our minds, we will find ourselves thinking other thoughts that will get out of hand if we allow it. The other thoughts that I am referring to are: hurting the person that hurt you, or maybe thinking of something evil to say to the person that hurt you.

The original thought should be pushed out of the mind of the person. We should guard our minds against seed thoughts because of their destructive nature to our lives. When we allow these seed thoughts to take root in our lives we will give bitterness and unforgiveness a perfect bed to sleep in. We are suppose to guard our hearts and minds according to the Word of God.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

These particular scriptures show that there is a constant warfare that goes on for our minds. We must bring “every” thought to the obedience of Christ. Most thoughts start out as “seed thoughts” and grow into something big if we allow them to. The way to push the thoughts out of our minds is to practice monitoring the thoughts that come into our minds and to bind the ones that are identified as “seed thoughts” in the name of Jesus. In order to get proficient at this type of spiritual warfare, we must start off by binding all seed thoughts that come into our minds for one whole week. Remember you cannot bind God so don’t hesitate to bind all the thoughts until the Lord teaches you what is of God and what is not of God. Also remember that God gave us a mind to so we must know which thoughts are of our own mind. Most people think that every thought that comes into their mind is theirs and this is not true. The Bible says that we can have the mind of Christ and to think on good things.

1 Corinthians 2:16: For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Romans 12:2: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Guard your mind against Negative Seed thoughts

Dealing with Fear and Anxiety in the Christian Life

Psalm 27:11: The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Jesus has all the Answers to Life! Fear and Anxiety will hinder a person from serving the Lord in fullness if not dealt with. As the Bible says: “Fear hath torment”. This “spirit of fear” as the Bible also proclaims has gripped the hearts and lives of so many Christians (some have been captured at an early age) and has caused them to be hindered and even prevented from serving the Lord in the way that they would like.

2 Timothy 1:7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

As we can see from this scripture that fear is a spirit and not just an emotion. This scripture also follows up by say that God intended for each and every Christian to have power, love and a sound mind. When fear and anxiety are in a Christian’s life everything but these three attributes exist. The fact is that there will not be the peace of God in a Christian’s vessel until fear is driven out. When we use the term “drive out” we are speaking of the ministry of casting out demons or the Deliverance Ministry.

In most cases if a Christian never witnessed or experienced this ministry for themselves, this article may sound foreign or even unbelievable to some. However, this is a ministry that has been proven time and time again that Jesus can and wants us to be free in mind body soul and spirit. This spirit of fear will rob a person of spiritual and physical gifts that God has given us and wants to give us.

James 4:7: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Take heed and examine yourself for this spirit of fear. Ask yourself: Was I ever molested as a child? Did I ever experience any other types of traumatic incidents, such as being in a car accident, even something as simple as being chased by a dog that you felt was hostile? When these and other incidents are experienced, a spirit of fear can enter into the life of even a Christian and cause many hindrances.
There is a solution to this haunting spirit. The Bible says “submit yourself to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. When a person that is tormented by this spirit willingly comes to Jesus and ask for deliverance using the proper steps, Jesus will honor his Word. Jesus truly has all the Answers to Life in dealing with fear and anxiety in the Christian Life!

The Basic Elements of a Christian Marriage

The Basic Elements of a Christian Marriage

As Christians we should keep our understanding and guidelines of a marriage based on the Bible. As we see in the Bible the sacred institution of marriage was created by God and should be between a woman and a man. As we look around in the media today we can see a lot of disagreement with this, however, most Christians still agree with the definition of marriage that the Bible expresses.

Traditionally, most Christian marriages are performed in a church directed by a minister of the Lord who gives the marriage vows. This type of ceremony signifies that the particular marriage is accountable to the throne of God and also protected under the Spirit and Power of God.

The Bible shows that when a marriage happens the man leaves his natural family and cleaves to his wife and they two become one flesh. The Bible shows that this is a great mystery. This bonding is a physical and spiritual bonding that comes with a lot of power and responsibility. The enemy knows the power of marriage. This is the reason that the powers of darkness fight to separate a Christian marriage and just marriage in general.

As we see in the Bible, a marriage also shows the connection between the Church and the Lord Jesus. So in this we can also see the holiness and the importance that the Lord places on marriage.

Ephesians 5:25-27: “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”
1Peter 3:7: You husbands, in like manner, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered.
Proverbs 3:5-6:Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

The Bible shows that the couple should leave their natural families and cleave together to become one. So many marriages fail because one or both parties of the couple are still attached in some way to their parents or family member. This attachment could be physical, emotional or spiritual. God’s will is for a man and woman to have a firm foundation of trust and respect in their marriage. When there are too many outside contributions to the marriage there will be problems. Once married the couple should continue to communicate about things that are important to them individually and as a couple. These could be issues such as : sexual, financial, spiritual, physical and family issues. When a married couple’s communication lines are open a healthy marriage will result when we remember “The Basic Elements of a Christian Marriage.

A Christian Couple should live by and never forget:

Prayer is a weapon – Essential for a Victorious Christian Church

There is a God in heaven that rules and reigns over the whole universe. He always exists in all the affairs of mankind. He is everywhere, knows all things and is all powerful in all things. The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ needs to dwell and ponder on this fact in order to be successful in winning the hearts of lost souls in the world and in our families.

Isaiah 58:9:Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity 14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

The only way the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ can move forward is to have a vision with prayer being at the forefront. The most important element to God when dealing with the hearts of men is heart-felt prayer. Additionally, prayer should be the number one priority on the hearts of all that belong to God. Failure to pray could result in failure in this physical life and could also result in failure in a person’s spiritual life. When we don’t pray we are depriving ourselves of the assistance that the Lord wants to give us in our lives. Prayer also keeps up in love with man and with God. We are required by the Word of God to keep ourselves in the love of God. A life without prayer will be void of patience, faith and all the virtues that make for a strong Christian.

Assuredly prayer is a basic element of the Christian faith that no Christian can afford to be without. All successes of all plans, hopes, and dreams of any family, person, or organization etc., hinge on prayer. Yes prayer is a warfare that must be fought on a daily basis.

If there will be a great move of God in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Christians will have to purpose in their hearts to watch and pray. This must be a consistent watching and praying even when the answer is not obvious. This is the real test in order to see a mighty and sincere work of the Lord. When sincere and on fire Christians come together in prayer the mighty power and anointing of God will supercharge the atmosphere and people will experience the Glory of God. Otherwise there may be a lot of fluff but no power of God will be present. Only the words and appearance of man will be presented and lifted up. God has ordained from the foundations of the world that in order for man to be effective in this life, there must be a line of communication with God.

Prayer is a weapon and is Essential for a Victorious Christian Church!

Signs and Symptoms of Demonic Influence and Subjection Pt.2

As we mentioned in Part one of this subject, in order to obtain Victory in Jeus Christians must be totally aware of the schemes of the Evil One lest he gets an advantage over us. Make no mistake about this, the Devil is a supernatural being and will use supernatural means to defeat us. Below are some of the symptoms that a person under demonic: possession, oppression or influence.

    • Abnormal, unreasonable anxiety
    • Unreasonable fear
    • Unreasonable loneliness
    • No self-control
    • Overwhelming depression
    • Overwhelming thoughts of suicide
    • Participating in fornication
    • Overwhelming lust for pornography and sexual lust
    • Addicting behaviours such playing magical type video games and the preoccupation with UFO’s and or paranormal activity
    • Use of Drugs and Alcohol
    • The wrong use of certain herbs
    • Out of control temper
    • Meditation and the Kundalini Awakening participation in Yoga and other types of exercises that incorporate the mind and meditation
    • Constant jealousy of other
    • Overwhelming Anger
    • Low self-image and self-esteem
    • Rebellion against authority
    • Involvement with occult or spiritism including contacting the dead or consulting with a psychic
    • Involvement with Martial Arts (Idol Worship)
    • Involvement with religious cults

These are just a few items that could indicate that a person is being influenced by demons. A person that is under the power of demons needs Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the Deliverer and is able to set the captive free. Demons make a person a captive. As I have mentioned in previous articles , we should never cast demons from unbelievers unless there is a life threatening or similar type of emergency.

Unbelievers have no protection against the demons after the fact. Only the believer has the authority to use the name of Jesus. This is one fact that you must remember. An unbeliever would only be worse off if we cast demons out of that person. Jesus said that they would be seven times worse if the house (their body) is not filled with the things of God. Don’t take the chance that they can become saved afterwards. In most cases we should “always” make sure the person is saved prior to performing the deliverance ministry.

Matthew 12:43-45: When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

So by these scriptures one can see that the ministry of Deliverance is serious business. We should not always minister deliverance just because we see a need. The person seeking deliverance must be advised of the dangers of “getting relief” from demons then going about their business like nothing has happened. Jesus is the Deliverer not the minister and we should always remember this fact from the Word of God.

Jesus knows and cares about our troubles and heartaches

Jesus Christ has the answers to life! Jesus Christ created the universe with a spoken Word how much more can He eliminate all troubles in our lives if we seek Him and trust in Him. The Bible says that Jesus cares and feeds the birds of the air so how much more will He take tend to and take care of His people.

Matthew 6:26:Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

We should never let Satan convince us and cause us to doubt the Love of God towards us. You see Satan is the Master Deceiver and will take advantage of your trials and troubles to try and say to you that “Jesus does not really care for you”. We have to know that this is a lie from the pit of hell and choose what the Word of God has to say about the situation. Our happiness and joy was sealed with the Blood of Jesus. Not only our joy and happiness but our eternal destiny was sealed with the shed Blood of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Cares

We as human being were taught from children to learn and handle our own burdens and problems. Most of us were also taught not to trust anyone with all of our personal business. However, Jesus Christ is there for the Christian, the one that knows and trust in the Word of God will see their heartaches and burdens roll right away.

1 Peter 5:7: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

You may ask , “how do I cast my cares upon the Lord”. Well the answer to that question is that we should communicate to the Lord our troubles on a constant basis. In other words we should pray. In addition to praying we can also pray the Word of God concerning your troubles. If we do not know a scripture that relates to our problem we can just repeat 1 Peter 5:7. For example we can pray:

Father in the name of Jesus I belong to you because of the Precious Blood of Jesus. Now Lord you see these problems that I have. Now Lord I am casting all my cares upon you because your Word says that you care for me. In Jesus name –Amen.

Jesus also said: in Matthew 11:28-30:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Again while in prayer you may also want to quote this scripture back to the Lord and remind Him of what the Word says. The Bible shows that we can put the Lord in remembrance of His Word.

Claim Joy and Happiness instead of sorrow and Pain in Jesus name-Amen.

Signs and Symptoms of Demonic Influence and Subjection

Demonic influence and subjection is real! As a deliverance ministers I have seen many people that were in churches become involved in deep sin and become influenced by demons. On the other hand there are many people out there that may not know how to tell if a person is under demonic influence. Some of you may have family members that may be acting a little “strange”. Oftentimes this strange behavior is attributed to demonic influence and subjection. First of all the fact needs to be pointed out that in order to truly understand demonic influence and the power of the same, a person must belong to Jesus Christ. Otherwise this will be like “Hollywood” or the “Exorcist Movie” or just some weird phenomena. Before reading this article make sure that you are born again by asking Jesus Christ to come and live in your heart to be your personal Saviour. If you are already born again and have never heard of these things, ask the Lord if this article is true or not. When asking ensure that you use Binding and loosing prayers to follow-up. The purpose of these Binding and Loosing prayers is to ensure that you don’t have another “supernatural voice” telling you that these are lies. Furthermore, a Christian must also do a careful and prayerful study of the Bible to investigate this subject.

Symptoms of Demonic Influence and Subjection:

The Bible show several examples of people that were influenced or subjected to demons. Using these examples we can see how a demon may influence or provoke a certain behavior in a person. The following are scriptural examples:

Mark 5:1-20:And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. 2And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, 3Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: 4Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. 5And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. 6But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, 7And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. 8For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. 9And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. 10And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. 11Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. 12And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. 13And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand) and were choked in the sea. 14And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. 15And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. 16And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine. 17And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts. 18And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. 19Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. 20And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

Matthew 9:32-33: As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil. 33And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

Matthew 12:22: Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.

Luke 22:3-4Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. 4And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.

Acts 16:16-18:And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: 17The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. 18And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

Self-Pity is Destructive in a Christian’s Life

Christians must avoid self-pity! Self-pity can lead to destructive behavior and possibly ruin your testimony for Jesus. In order to be an effective Christian we must have a solid and overcoming testimony. When we walk in self-pity we obviously are not walking victoriously. Yes, I must say that even a Christian can and will have days that are not as good as others , however, self-pity can cause a person to get in a “rut” of self-pity which can lead to depression and anxiety. These are issues that a Christian wants to avoid.

Let’s look at the nature of these words such as: self-pity, depression, anxiety etc. The Bible says that Jesus is the name above every name. Obviously these are names correct? Names are also associated with evil spirits in the Bible. The Bible shows that “fever” was rebuked by Jesus and “it left”. When we can identify these names with spirits then we can have more of a possibility of fighting and ultimately getting rid of these issues.

Roots of Self-Pity

Some Christians self pity roots go very deep. For example if a person has been abused , whether, mentally, physically, sexually etc., the person’s mind and thoughts can wander back to those things and cause the person to fall into this state of feeling sorry for themselves. The main culprit are the spirits that are connected to these feeling. Yes human beings can have feeling, however, these must be examined by the person as directed by the Holy Spirit. For example, if a family member dies, a period of grief can be normal. However, if the person dwells on the grief, an evil spirit may come and capitalize on this and cause an open door for other spirits such as depression, suicide etc.

Taking authority over what goes on in the mind is an important technique and should be a daily activity of every born again Christian. The Deliverance ministry operates to set the captive free! People that have been victims of abuse are captives and most feel extremely helpless when faced with these thoughts and feelings. This type of root behavior can only be effectively ministered to through the deliverance ministry. When ministered through deliverance, the results will be lasting. This lasting effect is particularly true when the person receiving deliverance applies the techniques of spiritual warfare. This spiritual “aftercare” is mandatory in maintaining the results of the ministry received. Many Christians will resort to other methods to “cure” themselves of their problem. However, a spiritual problem must be met with a spiritual remedy.

Hebrews 4:12: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Remember the name of Jesus is above every name in Heaven and in earth. The Bible was not just talking about human and animals in these scripture. The scripture is also talking about principalities, powers, rulers and spiritual wickedness in the heavenly places.

Philippians 2:9: Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Ephesians 6:10-12Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Standing against Demonic Retaliation-Spiritual Attacks

As long as we as Christians live on this earth we will be engaged in a war. This is not a physical war (although the enemy tries to make us think this) but a spiritual war.

1 Timothy 6:12: Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

All Christians should be engaged in the war one way or the other. Demonic retaliation is simply the enemy waging a war against you in response to a war that you have waged again him. This can also be referred to as a counter attack. That is why we must train our spirit man to be alert.

1 Peter 5:8:Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

The Bible tells us also to resist the power of the devil. This is not done in our own strength but in the strength of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Deliverance Candidate

For example, a deliverance candidate comes to a deliverance minister with some very strong occult demons. The person is cooperative with the deliverance minster and the candidate receives total freedom and is rejoicing. This is when both parties have to be aware of demonic retaliation. The person receiving the ministry and the deliverance minister themselves are subject to demonic retaliation. There may be perfect peace and the presence of the anointing ,however, as the scripture relates to us that we must be alert concerning the tactics and strategies of the enemy. There is scriptural evidence that a demons after being cast out will seek to return to the “house” from which evicted.

Luke 11:24:When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

The unclean spirit will come out as conditions in the heart of the person receiving deliverance and the use of the name of Jesus , especially under the anointing of the power of God and the Word of God.

The deliverance candidate should be aware of this fact. When a deliverance minister prays for someone there should always be instructions given concerning warfare strategies. The candidate must learn how to cover themselves with the Blood of Jesus and let the Word of God play over their place of dwelling 24/7 is the preferred method. The deliverance minister should also give the person a quick course on how to pray binding and loosing prayers. These prayers should be prayed aggressively against the powers of darkness. The new believer may feel weak and inadequate when first praying these prayers. This is normal. However, persistence and the name Blood and the Word of God will defeat the enemy.

Matthew 21:21-22:Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. 22And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Matthew 16:19, “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

Be Refreshed in the Lord

by Pastor Dennis

Be Refreshed in the Lord

autumn-lake-blue-skies

Christians sometimes need to be refreshed in the Lord. This fact would specifically apply to those that are constantly fighting in the spirit realm in spiritual warfare. This time of refreshing in the spirit will cause a renewal in spirit for the next battle. Lest the warrior get weary in well doing.

Galatians 6:9:And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Isaiah 44:3-5:For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:4And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses. 5One shall say, I am the LORD’s; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel.

The Lord is the one that has the power to refresh as in the spirit realm as we submit our wills to Him. Without this refreshing a well-meaning Christian may find themselves even groing weary in the things of the Lord.
The Holy Spirit will come and comfort us as we put our hope and trust in Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 1:4: Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

John 16:7: Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

When a Christian is involved in spiritual warfare there is an intense battle going on in the spirit realm. The Bible describes this warfare as wrestling. If we work too hard at wrestling without a break to give God the glory we will surely grow tired, weary and discouraged.

Ephesians 6: 10-12: Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

One method of entering into the refreshment of the Lord would be to seek the Lord in praying the scriptures. This type of prayer is just talking to the Lord in your heavenly relationship with Him. This is not the same as warfare. This type of commune with the Lord is just to talk to Him and pray the scriptures in faith believing that He hears and will answer you.

Romans 4:17(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

As we pray the Word of God we will begin to have a balance in our spiritual warfare ministry and the Lord will be able to refresh us quicker as we become knowledgeable of the full Word of God.
